How afternoons fly by / Uren voorbijgestoken

Just as Ameria and I had settled for the fact that there would be no other knitters, Yarnlot greeted us and came to sit and knit with us. So we could start showing our finished objects, leafing through magazines and discussing what we're currently working on - while working on it, so curious observers would be drawn to us.
One man dropped the question "Is this for your studies?" while walking past us, I am not sure what he meant by that, we're clearly older than your average school kid ;)
And a lady came over as well, commenting "You don't see that a lot! Women sitting together working like this." I told her that if she wanted to see more of it, she should check us out every first Tuesday of the month.
I think that the more bizarre comments are due to the fact that some people really can't get their heads around the idea. Albeit just two sticks and a piece of string.
