At first we lingered outside, peeking in to see what was happening. There was a flurry of activity, and once inside we could see the goings-on more closely. Little blue tables and chairs were lined up in a row in the middle of the shop. I liked the setup: Yarn was located on the left, fabric on the right, knitting in the middle. I found it very inviting and enjoyed taking in the whole atmosphere. Didn't take us long to snag ourselves a table and join in the crafting and the friendly chatter!
There were many projects being worked on, some crochet, some knitting. From simple, fluffy scarves to adorable baby booties to complicated, elegant shawls, there was a little bit of everything. What was also very cool was the fact that several other folks from Ravelry were there! Among them was the lovely YarnLot (who sometimes comes to our Brugge knit meetings), and Wollig. I must say that shortly after meeting Wollig in person, the lovely lady gifted me with more than one ball of this!! I'm not sure what I'm going to knit with it yet, but I know it will be fabulous. ^.^ I also gave her the bookmark I knit her for her birthday, and she loved it. :)
So, WWKIP turned out to be a LOT of fun! Not just the knitting, but spending time with RedSamur as well. Her friend was also good company. :) A couple of customers stopped here and there to watch us all knit and they asked questions about what we were doing. It would have been even nicer to have been able to sit outside, but alas, the rain didn't permit it. I also wish I'd gotten more (and better--too lazy to bring the Canon, shame on me) pictures, but I'm sure I will next time. So yes, already looking forward to the next one. Special thanks to the staff at Stoffenidee, who not only hosted us but offered free coffee and free CAKE as well! :)
