Happy birthday, Naaldzang!

It's that time of year again, where the weather gets colder, snow may or may not fall, and needles everywhere are clacking away with Christmas knitting. And this past Tuesday was a very special day--it was the 1st birthday of Naaldzang! I had not realized this, but RedSamur reminded us (and she had chocolate cake to celebrate). ;)

happy birthday, Naaldzang!

There were five of us in total: Myself, RedSamur, Poezemadam and her friend R, and Jan. Lovely projects to be seen!

Jan's lace scarf in progress

A silk lace scarf from Jan, in progress.

Poezemadam's finished lace scarf

Another (finished) lace scarf by Poezemadam.

R's sweater in progress

R's sweater-in-progress, in shades of purple.

During the course of our meeting Poezemadam busied herself with the start of a pretty sweater; I was knitting away on my pinwheel baby blanket whilst RedSamur crocheted a spider for her brother's girlfriend, if I remember correctly. Jan worked on his silk lace scarf (a gift for his wife--lucky gal!). We all had a great time, and it was nice to meet R, a talented knitter with a warm smile. :) I ended up having to leave a little bit earlier than I had originally planned, and was also not as talkative as I usually am due to being extra tired lately. I'm feeling more lively now, and itching to get the needles back in my hands!

I would like to personally thank RedSamur for getting the ball rolling for our Naaldzang meetings one year ago, and I also thank everyone who has come to our meetings, for making them a wonderful thing and a part of my life that I really enjoy. Thank you all so much!
